BUILDING MATERIAL TEST REPORT LIBRARY

Building Material Test Report Library: Read and Verify Every Report

A building material test report library holds four document types: management-system certificates (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), product certifications (CE, FSC), third-party test reports (SGS and equivalents), and manufacturer declarations. Each proves something different, and each is verified a different way.

Most suppliers show you a certification badge. A badge does not tell you the certificate’s scope, its number, or where to check it. Yuheng’s set is CE, SGS, FSC, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, produced on 40+ lines in Linyi and exported to 50+ countries.

DOCUMENT TAXONOMY

The Four Document Types in a Test Report Library

Four kinds of document sit in any complete building material test report library. Each answers a different question, and each is checked against a different source.

01

Management-System Certificates

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 prove the factory runs a quality and environmental management system — not that any single product performs a certain way. Check the scope (“production”, not “trading”), the expiry date, and IAF accreditation on the issuing body’s register.

02

Product Certifications

CE and FSC state a product’s compliance with a regulation — CE under the Construction Products Regulation, FSC for responsible timber sourcing. Verify CE against the NANDO database of notified bodies, and FSC against the FSC certificate database.

03

Third-Party Test Reports

SGS and equivalent reports measure a property of a specific sample — fire, mechanical strength, UV weathering, slip resistance. Read the sample description, the test method, the result, the “results apply only to the sample tested” clause, and the verifier contact.

04

Manufacturer Declarations

REACH statements and similar documents are the manufacturer’s own statement of a chemical or regulatory position. Treat a declaration as a declaration, not a certificate — it is not independently tested.

Read the Scope Line First

An ISO 9001 certificate scoped to “trading” is not a manufacturing certificate. A buyer who checks the scope before the logo catches the most common documentation gap — a reseller wearing a factory’s badge. The scope, not the logo, is what a customs authority or a tender board actually reads.

Request the test report set and certificate numbers with your quotation — issued within 12 hours.
REPORT READING GUIDE

How to Read a Building Material Test Report

The education most suppliers skip. A buyer who can read four lines can catch a cover-page-only supplier before the container ships.

FOUR LINES TO READ FIRST

Sample description, test method, result and verifier contact. Everything else on the page is context.

REPORT READING CHECKLIST

The Four Lines That Matter

Sample-Specific
Line to Read What It Names Why It Matters
Sample Description The product, thickness and build-up stated A report on a 25 mm solid board does not prove a 21 mm hollow one
Test Method The standard named — EN 13501-1, EN 15534-1, ISO 4892-2, ASTM D7032, ISO 354 An “in-house method” is not comparable to a published standard
Result The measured outcome for that sample Only as good as the sample and the method behind it — “results apply only to the sample tested”
Verifier Contact The issuing body you can check with A genuine report names one; SGS provides one per report
01

Type Test vs Batch Test

A type test proves a design once. A batch test proves a reorder matches it. Both matter, at different points in the buying cycle — the pre-shipment inspection checklist shows where batch testing sits in the quality process.

02

The Report Proves the Sample, Not the Range

A report covers exactly the sample named — the product, thickness and build-up stated. It does not transfer to another profile, however similar the two look on a catalogue page.

BEYOND THE COVER PAGE

What a Cover Page Cannot Tell You

A badge image proves nothing on its own. What you can check depends on what you are actually sent.

What You Receive What You Can Check
Cover page only Nothing — no sample, no method, no result
Full report Sample description, method, result, verifier contact
Full report + sample box The report tied to the physical product
DOCUMENT LEVELS
Cover Page

A logo and a title — nothing a buyer can act on.

Full Report

Sample, method, result and verifier contact — readable and checkable.

Full Report + Sample Box

The report matched to the product you are actually buying.

Ask for the full test report, not the cover page — with the sample box. The report is only usable when the sample it describes is the product you are ordering.

THE YUHENG SET

The Yuheng Documentation Set

Here is the set Yuheng issues, stated exactly. The marks are verified; the numbers behind them are confirmed per order.

MANAGEMENT & PRODUCT CERTIFICATIONS

Certificate Set

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management-system certificates, plus CE and FSC product certifications. Certificate numbers and scope are confirmed on request — never printed on this page.

Marks In The Set
ISO 9001 ISO 14001 CE FSC
THIRD-PARTY TESTING

Test Reports & Figures

SGS reports, with water bath, load and UV aging testing named as process stages. Performance figures such as NRC 0.85, R11 and −40 °C to 60 °C are stated on the product pages; the report behind each figure is available on request.

Documentation Discipline

A Certificate That Does Not Match the Product Is Worse Than None

This is a documentation map, not a claim dump. The certificate numbers, scopes and specific test values are confirmed per order, because a certificate that does not match the product you are buying is worse than no certificate at all. The numbers you can verify are the ones we issue with your quotation.

STANDARDS YOU WILL READ

Which Standards You Will See on These Reports

The standards printed on a report tell you what was measured. Here are the ones a WPC, acoustic or stone buyer meets most often — named so you can read them, not as a claim that Yuheng holds a specific result under each.

FIRE PERFORMANCE

EN 13501-1 and ASTM E84

EN 13501-1 ASTM E84

Europe and North America use two different fire-test frameworks. A CE declaration does not satisfy a North American fire requirement, and an ASTM E84 report does not satisfy a European one. CE marking is not US approval — the split every buyer must know.

PROFILE & MATERIAL MECHANICS

EN 15534-1 and ASTM D7032

EN 15534-1 ASTM D7032

EN 15534-1 covers WPC profile properties; ASTM D7032 is the US decking-performance standard. These are the tests behind a span rating, a load figure or a stiffness claim.

ACOUSTICS

ISO 354

ISO 354

The reverberation-room method behind an NRC figure such as NRC 0.85. A published NRC number is only meaningful when it traces to a test of the panel build-up you are specifying.

WEATHERING, SLIP & CLIMATE

UV Aging, Slip and Operating Range

ISO 4892-2 R11 −40 °C to 60 °C

UV aging, a slip resistance rating of R11, and the −40 °C to 60 °C operating range each trace to a test. The specific reports behind those figures are issued with the quotation.

Scope Note

Naming a Standard Is Not Claiming a Report

ASTM D7032, ASTM E84, EN 13501-1 and ISO 354 are named here as the standards a buyer meets — not as reports Yuheng currently holds. Ask which reports exist for the profile you are buying, and request the ones your market requires.

FOR IMPORTERS & DISTRIBUTORS

How a Test Report Library Serves an Importer or Distributor

A distributor who resells under their own brand still has to hand their customer documentation. A complete, forwardable set is a sales asset they do not have to assemble themselves.

02

Clear Customs

Certificates, test reports and the packing list travel with the container. A buyer who has the scope and the certificate number on file answers a customs query without a week of email.

03

Unlock a Tender

Documentation that clears customs and unlocks a tender is worth more than a discount — it is the difference between a reorder and a dispute.

WHY IT MATTERS

Documentation Is Worth More Than a Discount

A missing or unforwardable document set costs a reorder. A complete set is the difference between a reorder and a dispute — and it is the part of the offer a buyer can check before the container ships.

Reorder → not a dispute
SCOPE OF THIS PAGE

What This Library Does Not Do

01

It Does Not Publish Unconfirmed Numbers

No certificate number, expiry date or test value appears here unless it has been confirmed. Those are issued with the quotation.

02

It Does Not Assert an Unconfirmed Standard

ASTM D7032, ASTM E84, EN 13501 and ISO 354 are named as the standards a buyer meets, not as reports Yuheng currently holds.

03

It Does Not Replace Verification

This page explains how to check a document. It is not a substitute for checking a certificate against the issuing body’s own register.

04

It Does Not State a Warranty or Service Life

Warranty periods and service-life figures are not in the verified set, so they are not published here.

05

It Is Not a Quotation

A documentation map is not an offer. Prices, lead times and the documents themselves come with a request for quotation.

The Structural Trust Signal

A Factory That Publishes How to Verify It

The strongest proof point on this page is structural: a supplier that tells you how to check its certificates against IAF, NANDO and the FSC database is itself the trust signal.

TEST REPORT FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the four document types, how to verify a certificate, and what ships with a container of WPC panels.

CE marking is a conformity declaration — the manufacturer states the product meets a European regulation. An SGS test report is a measured test of a named sample. One is a status; the other is evidence. A complete set carries both.

Check three things on the issuing body’s register: the scope (it should say “production”, not “trading”), the expiry date, and IAF accreditation. A certificate without a verifiable scope proves nothing about manufacturing.

It names the exact sample tested — the product, thickness and build-up. The report proves that sample and nothing else. A report on a 25 mm solid board does not cover a 21 mm hollow one.

A complete set: the management-system certificates, the product certifications, the relevant test reports, and the packing list. The test reports and certificate numbers are issued with the quotation, on request.

It depends on the market and the building. European projects may require an EN 13501 classification; North American projects reference ASTM E84. Confirm what your jurisdiction requires, then ask for the report against that standard.

A type test proves a design once — the product passed the standard. A batch test proves a reorder matches the original formulation and finish. Both matter, at different points in the buying cycle.
